About Dr. William H. Philpot -

William H. Philpott, M.D. (1919-2009), had specialty training and practice in psychiatry, neurology, electroencephalography, nutrition, environmental medicine and toxicology. He was a founding member of the Academy of Orthomolecular Psychiatry, as well as a fellow of the Orthomolecular Psychiatric Society and the Society of Environmental Medicine and Toxicology.

Between 1970 and 1975, he did a research project searching for the causes of major
mental illnesses and degenerative diseases, which resulted in the publication of
the books, Brain Allergies and Victory Over Diabetes. Retiring in 1990 after 40
years of medical practice, he has engaged in research as a member of an Institutional
Review Board, which follows FDA guidelines. In this capacity, he guided physicians
and gathered data on the treatment and prevention of degenerative diseases using
magnetic therapy.

The Linus Pauling Award was presented to William H. Philpott, M.D. in 1998 by the
Orthomolecular Health Society, “for his scientific leadership and scholarship

In 1985, Dr. William H. Philpott became interested in Bio-Magnetics. He read what little
information there was printed at that time. What he read fascinated him, so he
decided to do some research on his own. He bought some raw uncoated magnets at an
extravagant price. His research developed positive results and he wanted to
expand his project. His business manager and son-in-law, Linwood Lothrop, said,
“Dad, we have to be able to make these magnets more affordable. I’ll check this
out for you” After some hard work, Lin did find better prices. Because the magnets were
raw, there was a need to coat them and make them more people friendly. Thus,
Enviro-Tech Products was conceived as a separate company in 1985. Enviro-Tech
then started selling to other physicians and we started joining medical conventions
to demonstrate our products. We were considered a little strange in 1985, we like to think
we were just ahead of the times.
